Guestbook for Dr. Samuel M. Holton Showing 1 - 5 of 5 entries.

Margaret and Family:

My condolences to you. I admired Sam as a scout leader and friend. I think that he helped me focus when I might have been deaf to my parents. His example and his influence have been remarkable for me throughout my career.

My Scoutmaster is now at home with his Master, and may his many day of faithful service be remember by all. He touched so many of our lives in Troop 13 and he and Prof. Wilson led many of us to know Jesus Christ.
He was a GREAT LEADER and friend!

Professor Holton offered his guidance and inspiration to me as one of the first students in the Ford Foundation Master of Teaching Degree (1964); Dr. Holton was instrumental in securing the graduate "Education Degree" on par with the other colleges of UNC-Chapel Hill. In these many years hence, I still recall his courageous efforts for innovative pedagogy. Condolences to the Holton Family. ProfJLM
